AIM
A video installation by Studio A+E, articulating a contemporary re-reading of the act of throwing through the combined use of traditional animation and holography.
Resting on a base of volcanic matter, a holographic figure of a thrower unfolds in a continuous loop, its form shifting across multiple human embodiments over time.
Conceived through the lens of cyclicality, the work examines the gesture in its decomposition and reconstitution, revealing the act as both structure and trace. Through its repetition, the movement transcends its immediate function, becoming a symbolic continuum that echoes across epochs.
In AIM, the gesture of throwing operates as a foundational motif, weaving a conceptual thread between Art and Society. It brings to light a persistent dimension of human experience—one in which action, memory, and representation remain inextricably bound.
